Finland's PRIVATE LINE Sign With 456 ENTERTAINMENT
February 11, 2006Playground Music Scandinavia has announced a new licensing deal between Playground Music Scandinavia and 456 Enterprises & Entertainment in the USA for PRIVATE LINE's debut album, "21th Century Pirates" and the group's upcoming effort for North and South America.
Jonathan Rifkind, who was co-owner and Executive VP at Loud Records prior to it being acquired by Sony, went on to form 456 Enterprise & Entertainment with Carson Daly, Jonathan B. Davis and Bam Margera (MTV's "Viva La Bam" and "Jackass") as the figurehead for the rock label venture. Carson Daly is the talkshow host of NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly" and is known for his work on MTV's "TRL". Jonathan B. Davis was formerly VP A&R/Marketing of Loud Records. One of 456 Entertainment's biggest releases is "Viva La Bands", a compilation that features acts like H.I.M., THE RASMUS, NEGATIVE and THE 69 EYES.
“The second I heard '1-800-Out-Of-Nowhere', I knew this Finnish band had serious potential to bring to the U.S.," said Margera in a statement. "This is the perfect music to get the party started and their image makes you like them even more!"
Release and tour plans for PRIVATE LINE are being worked out, with tentative plans for the group to take part in the "Viva La Bam" tour in the fall of 2006.
Playground Music Publishing publishes PRIVATE LINE (PGM Publishing is a joint venture company with BMG Music Publishing Sweden). PGM represents Bad Habits Records (home of PRIVATE LINE) for the world for international business.
